An archeologist offers a fresh look at the lives of common soldiers on the colonial American frontier. I found this book highly interesting because it describes the archeology of the region from a professional's viewpoint. Arecheology, along with primary sources are the underlying basis for understanding the history of the region. Archeology provides very important forensic confirmation, because sometimes secondary and even primary sourecs get things wrong.
